Trish & Mike Albanese

Trish Albanese

President

Trish Albanese is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, and has a Master's degree is Business Administration from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business as well as her CPA.   Trish has worked in the support services industry in several management capacities during her 15-year tenure encompassing finance and services, including leading support brokers and fiscal intermediaries. 

Trish is the proud mom of two sons, Dan and Mike.  Mike lives with Trish and her long time partner, Sean.  Mike has taught her so many life lessons, but the greatest has been about presuming competence by showing her the depths of his capacity.

Marilyn and Brett Jeffery

Marilyn Jeffery

Vice President

Marilyn Jeffery has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from SUNY Geneseo.  With a professional background in sales, writing, and the disability field, and experience as a community volunteer, Marilyn has spent much of her adult life working with others to achieve diverse and ambitious goals.

 

Along with her husband, Marilyn is the parent of two adult sons.  Their younger son, Brett, has autism. Brett has many talents and interests, and strives to live independently, just as his brother and peers do.

 

Marilyn is dedicated to finding the best living environment for Brett; a place where he can live in close proximity to his friends, have choice in his staff and activities; continue to engage in the greater community, and have a safe and permanent home.

Liz Goldenberg

Secretary

Liz Goldenberg has a BA from Denison University and JD from Syracuse University. She worked as an attorney in private practice from 1984 through 1993. In 1993 she was hired as an Assistant Visiting Professor of Law at Syracuse University Law School and as the supervising attorney of the College of Law’s Public Interest Law Firm. While there, she wrote a grant to establish the Children’s Rights Law Clinic which she supervised upon its establishment in 1995 until 1998. 

Liz is the mom of Marlee Delia, age 31, and Quin Delia, age 26, who has a diagnosis of autism. Liz is now retired and focuses the majority of her time assisting the dream of Smokey Hollow to become a reality. In her spare time, you can find Liz in her pottery studio.

Joanne Sold

Board Member and Advisor

Joanne Sold has a BA from Brooklyn College and a JD from Brooklyn Law School.  She was Chief of Staff to a New York State Assemblyman from 2011 through 2022.  She worked closely with the Smokey Hollow Community advocates on the legislation to help address the housing crisis for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially those with 24/7 support needs.

She is honored to have been asked by the three parent advocates to join the Board to continue this incredibly important project and the overall mission of safe, affordable and appropriate housing for this adult population.

Hayley Schultz

Board Member

Hayley Schultz holds a BS in Human Resources Management from Syracuse University and earned her MBA with a marketing concentration from The Sage Colleges. Her background spans 13 years in HR across diverse industries such as advertising, membership organizations, and public broadcasting. For the past 15 years she has focused her skills in the field of marketing, notably in the travel and education sectors.

Proud to contribute her knowledge and passion to the Smokey Hollow initiative, Hayley is committed to leveraging her experience to help the organization address the pressing housing challenges faced by a vulnerable population.

Matt Mumma

Advisor

Matt Mumma has more than 25 years of executive experience within the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) service industry. Mr. Mumma spent 20 years leading one of the largest IDD service provider organizations in Ohio. While at this organization, Mr. Mumma served as its Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Vice President of Quality Assurance. Mr. Mumma helped to diversify this IDD service provider from solely being a residential service provider to a comprehensive IDD service provider offering a full continuum of care to individuals with IDD including but not limited to Behavioral Health, Adult Day, Nursing, Home Health, Hospice, and Intermediate Care services.

In addition to his extensive IDD service provider experience, Mr. Mumma also served nearly five years as the President/CEO of the nation's largest real estate company supporting individuals with IDD and their service providers.  During this time Mr. Mumma served as a tireless advocate for the continued advancement of individuals with IDD to live outside institutional settings and in community-based housing in the form of single-family homes and multi-family real estate.

Mr. Mumma currently serves as the CEO/Founder of Red Tide Advisory Services whose mission is to help IDD, Behavioral Health, Recovery, Anti-Human Trafficking, Adult Day, and Traumatic Brain Injury providers across the county in striving to reach their greater potential by developing and activating strategies that allow them to thrive.

Sue Ellen Holmes

Advisor

Sue Ellen Holmes has over 30 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry including property management, contract administration grant writing, team building and strategic management.  She is recognized as a Certified National Compliance Professional (NCP), Certified ADA Coordinator, and NYS Licensed Real Estate broker and has extensive experience managing diverse housing types such as residential, market/conventional, senior, student housing, multi-use residential-commercial and affordable housing.

Sue Ellen's commitment to Fair Housing is evident in her dedication to handling reasonable accommodations and modifications with care, inspired by her late son, who had multiple disabilities. 

Sue Ellen is the Owner and President of National Compliance Professionals and a long time friend of Smokey Hollow Community.
